The Tassy Finch Club Inc. was formed with the simple aim of bringing together people who are dedicated to the hobby and business of keeping and breeding finches.
The body also gives finch keepers the ability to gain representation on topical avicultural matters that may affect their hobby.
We are not affiliated with any other body although we maintain close ties to the Finch Society Of Australia.

The Club contains members from all areas of the state and an increasing number of mainland finch keepers.

An informative newsletter titled "The Finch Flyer " is distributed to all members by mail or email. This contains articles on all aspects of the keeping and breeding of finches, reports from both committees and information essential to surviving here in Tasmania.
The journal also includes "Bird Trader" a free service available to all members wanting to place an add to buy, sell or swap birds or bird related products. There is also a web based version of this for the computer literate amongst you!

Given the fragmented nature of Tasmanian finch breeders we do not plan to hold regular monthly meetings at this stage. However, as membership increases this may change.
